Termites, collection and breeding methods

i used to collect termites up at beechworth the other side of wangaratta up the hume highway and kept them in metal garbage bins with grease around the rim to stop them escaping. you need keep some wet bit of dead timber such as old paling fence and place the bin in a container of water to protect them from the little black ants. when lift up the damp timber you will find them clinging to the underside. cheers michael

Thanks Michael , so do they breed even after being raided if you get the Queen? Or do you just get as many as you can ? Im thinking of doing this just going into the Bush somewhere Well sought after arent they by some people so annoying we cant buy them like mealies... Is there such thing as a Termite Farm they have Ant Farms ? Theres a thought i'll try to find out.... Whar Birds do you have ?
