This is a video i took this morning.Nearly all the noise you can hear is the Bower Bird. Fast chattering, harsh crackling, chooks, the warning call of the White Plumed Honeyeater and a whistling kite. Apologies for the visual quality.

 Cant wait to watch it again this time with speakers (thanks son )

Do you ever come across the bowers /nests ? Ive seen one when I was younger ,( my Dad threatened me with a good clip up the ear if I ever went back there ).

Amazing it was ,half of Mums clothes pegs were at the front of the nest , so if you ever get a pic of that Id love to see it .

Thanks for the vid. Elusive little buggers aren't they? Maybe you could get a better shot of those pink necks at their watering hole/dish/dripping tap. I'll put in an order for two pair thanks.  :shifty:
They make the same raspy noise as my Regents.

My mum lives on 5 acres here and she has a bower on the property I will have to add a photo. I think the neighbours had one years ago (bower that is). These birds like silvery things and snail shells. There is a White Plumed honeyeater near by calling so all of the calls arent his but most of them. The chook noises is something new and ive only heard that this year.

Was thinking of you Tintola and persisted for awhile to get the vid. They are always here easy to hear but hard to catch when you have a camera. That raspy sound is similar to the greater Bower birds in the top end as well.
