2 quail hens

Got a bit of a dilemma, the silver quail cock bird died the other day, don't know why, other than a colder than normal night. He was in with one hen and the other hen I have is in another aviary. I was moving the cock bird between the two so that I wasn't over run with babies. I now have two hens in two different aviaries calling out to each other, they start early in the morning and continue off and on all day. They are calling now as Im writing this and it can go on for ages some times even after dark, they were still calling occasionally at 8pm last night.
I would like to put the two hens in the same aviary. Are they likely to fight? I may get another male at a later stage.

Best way is to put the two together in a strange environment even a breeding cage for a while. then introduce them back together.

I tried that putting them together in a different cage theory. Guess my birds didn't get the memo that this is supposed to work. One went at the other one hammer and tongs! So much so that I decided to separate them before it got too bad. Will have to get that male sooner rather than later I think.

It works better if you introduce them in an avairy that is new to both than in a small cage where they have less room to circle and evaluate each other.

I might try them in my biggest aviary on Monday, hopefully will tire from chasing each other before they can cause any damage.
