Quail finches certainly have been available in Australia in the past but I am unsure about swee waxbills.
I seriously doubt either are still here but as Deb has said- you never know!

I don't think there are any swees...
quailfinches were around in the 1980s but not anymore to my knowledge...
locust finches aren't even kept in their native country!!!!

Thank you Nrg, yes that is the minimum that we must do if using pictures from another website.
It is better though if you get permission(written/emailed but must include date) from the owner of the picture to use it, then pass on a copy of the permission to forum admin/mods.

Don't think there were too many Quail-finches round in the 80's . . Refer E orix in "Status" thread
Not heard of Swee Waxbills but . . who knows what is out there??
There were rumours of Indigo Buntings 20 or so years ago . . . and there were also a couple of Hawfinches round in '75
