I think Jay and Nrg are our resident book worms, one of them is sure to have read it.
School sure has changed, no feathers in any of the bird books I remember looking at :o :shh:

I haven't build up a good collection of Captive bird books, The only ones I have are "Cage and Aviary Birds" by David Alderton, Australian Parrots in Field and Aviary" By Neville Cayley and "Suitable Housing for Finches & Softbills" by I don't know. All my knowledge comes from combing the internet, and the State Library!

Jayburd does have a copy not only signed by the author but he painted a watercolour of a Pekin Robin inside for him as well.
Jayburd also interview him at the Qld Convention and that will appear shortly in our Newsletter.

You mean this one?:

If so, I do have it, but have yet to get around to reading through it properly. I had a bit of a splurge on books a while ago and have yet to read through everything...

I rate it as one of the best avicultural books written.
The observations on Pekin Robin behaviour and how it relates to keeping and breeding these birds is fantastic.
The avicultural techniques utilised are great and applicable to many species, including finches. The livefood chapters are terrific.
Even allowing for the North American perspective it is a great read and I believe severely underappreciated by most potential buyers.
It is a book every aviculturist should own in my opinion.
And no, I don't get any royalties from the sales !!
