I found this unexpected little fledgling sitting on a perch this morning.

Wow that is a new baby ....and yes very cute .

And what might it be? A wattlebird maybe?

Looks like a Red Wattlebird! How do you make sure they have a year long supply of food, do you plant different species of Grevillia or something which insures the birds have year-long food?

Yes, Red wattlebird. They thrive on Wombaroo nectar and a standard soft food mix. This baby was reared without livefood, as I never new they were nesting.

Awesome danny..very very cool. Could only dream oh having enough space to keep such things.
