Does anyone on here know how to tell what style of furniture ( era or period ) say a dining suite would be ?

Looks to me like early "Chipboard Period", either that or something from the "Broke" era.

It is wood , just dont know whether it be re stainable wood or fire wood ...

Antique Roadshow tragic here...
check the joins on the chairs if glued or nailed = probably not antique, if dovetailed joints possible antique.
Try googling, Regency dining chairs, or Victorian, or Edwardian or Georgian, see if any styles seem the same.
Try re-staining on the underneath, see what it look like.
Are these to go with the table you had earlier?

No that table turned out to be Edwardian and not a fix it for a amatuer so its been put away until we decide what to do ..
this one was a freeby and I thought the table would be good for the sewing room fixed up but now I dont know what to do with it .

Not too worried as council clean is next month so it wont be a pain to get rid of .

Will check the joins tomorrow and google suggests Sheraton style legs .

Work mate of o/half can drop in and have a look to be sure , he sidelines restoring antique furniture and seems to know what he is on about .

The table extends and is bloody heavy for its size ... oh well might have some fun with it.
