My Name is Teg… I am a year eight student, and I love birds! Breeding, watching, reading, birds!

I've joined this forum so I can find out a whole heap of info about breeding birds, especially finches! So far I have almost 14 zebra finches, 2 chestnut breasted mannikins, 2 double barred finches, 2 star finches, and 2 painted finches. I also have 2 princess parrots, 3 kakarikis, 2 bourkes parrots, 2 king quails, 2 elegant parrots, and I have a princess parrot that lives inside and is tamed :)

I am planning to sort out al my aviaries and stat to seriously breed these birds, as I have only successfully bred zebras and quails. My dream finch to keep and breed are gouldian finches and Cordon bleus, AND the sun conure!

I'm very new to forums like these, so sorry if I click some wrong buttons! :)

Yeah, thats me! :)

 Hi and welcome to the forum Teg
5 approved posts and you will have a lot more of the forum to read.
Lots of gouldian breeders here. Plenty of ideas for housing of them to give them the best chance of survival too.

Aw thanks for the welcome you guys!

And so many awesome gouldian finches! I am SO going to get some someday soon now!

You had no idea how grateful I am to find a site where I fit it with my 'own kind' and can chat to people about birds all day long! I feel a bit left out of school, since I am more interested in birds than boys, and considering that my boy friend is a parrot (not really, but still… :P ) I must be a bit sad :P

Hi Teg, welcome to the forum, I'm sure once you sort out your aviery that you'll probably do fine with the breeding of your birds. I also find Sun conures a beautiful looking bird and can be friendly also but not a good mix with finches. Any problems just ask and someone will point you in the right direction.
