Dew

Having a small problem with our seed in the avairy getting a bit wet from the dew in the mornings,could this be a problem.

Yes. You need to find a way of protecting the seed from the moisture.

Also if left in feed containers could go mouldy over time.

Dont know if this will work but I am trying this out for my Lorikeet dry food to prevent them pooping in it .

I got an ice cream container ...plastic , the tall round one and cut a hole big enough for the food bowl to fit in then popped the lid on and am feeding 1 aviary like this to see if it saves throwing out food .

So far :thumbup: Same could be applied to seed , with the lid on it should stop dew from settling on the seed.

Ooops the hole has to be cut up to the lid so the birds can get the food . :roll:

I've put a fibro ceiling under the iron in the back of all my breeding aviaries to stop condensation dripping into the feeding & nesting areas. It works great for this & also provides extra insulation from summer heat & winter cold. A good permanent solution.
