Hi everyone I`m Daniel and live near Pakenham/Warragul Victoria. I haven`t got any finches at the moment just a few peach face love birds, quails, a few fantail pigeons and inside a budgie and cockatiel. I`ve kept zebra`s (nearly every colour and patern there is :D) and Java sparrows but now have some space in my avairy and loved the finches so want to get some Gouldians and double bared finches to start with.

Okay great!! I was also thinking of getting a few Zebras!! I loved them little guys. Also is it illegal to catch house sparrows and keep them as pets as I saw it on another forum post.

:D welcome...regarding Sparrows , I hear Dubbo Sparrows are the nicest in the world so feel free to bring as many traps as you can to my back yard and take as many of the &^*#$@%^ home with you as you can :D

Im serious ...I hear starlings make great aviary birds too , got a few of them free to good home also .

Welcome to the Forum. Double Bars and Gouldian are both nice birds. So are Zebs, but can be intrusive if not watched. I keep all 3, plus others.
