Found a new type of grass seed today and have been trying to locate it online (to no avail)....

Anybody suggest a suitable link that perhaps shows native grasses and their image/description?

Cheers, Toast

There is a website in the making called Identify Life which is, I think, a government funded website. It was only released abit ago, and has a long long way to go, but it's plan is to make dichotomist keys that will allow you to identify any animal down to the species level.

Don't know if I'm right, but I call that Rye grass... Finches love it, but it doesn't go far as there are very few seeds on each stalk.

Good call Spanna....went and searched google images for ryegrass and there were heaps of similar photos...

From other research, my understanding is that it is a favourite amongst some finches and given the distinct lack of panic on the Gold Coast, has seeded at an opportune time....
