Would this be considered a silver/fawn split

At first sight he just looks like fawn. But he could be split for silver.

The contrast between head and back seems to be more than one would expect on a normal fawn. In theory you can not tell if a bird is split for something by looking at it. Though certain mutations do seem to have visual pointers.

I would say a poorly coloured Fawn.
Jaybird, Cream mated to a Fawn= Cream, Fawn young. Carabels i think are darker on the chest barring than Isabels.
