No, the method of sexing Spice Finches is the same of the Bengalese finches, just by the chant.

You keep them in the aviary or cage? Who else is sitting with them?

My finches are in flight cages and breeding cages.
I put my Spice Finches together with all other finches that I have (zebras, gouldians, stars, chestnut brasted, double bars, etc) when they aren't breeding.
When they are breeding I will separat them to a breeding cage just like I do with the rest of the species.
Spice Finches are very peacefull and breed very well in colony.

They are an attractive bird. Here in Australia Spice finches are not kept by a lot of breeders, relatively uncommon.
