can anyone recommend some quail that are the next step from kings as they are to prolific breeders

stubble (big quail), large but apparently go well with finches... 1 pair or a trio perhaps.
brown (big quail), need cover from what i know, can be unfriendly to other birds sometimes and quite secretive.
little button (small quail) my favourite, cute and tiny but easily frightened so they need cover, preferably in the form of a pile of grass on the floor.
or painted button (big quail). I don't know much about them except that they need leaf litter or suchlike as a substrate.
