Is anyone else having problems with the forum loading really slowly? It is taking me up to 40 seconds to open a page.

I'm pretty sure its happening with everyone, it's not fun is it??

To the admins, please find an alternative hosting company. The one you are using is crap and you are getting ripped off!

Me too. But why? I access a similar forum based on the same forum template and is as quick as. No worries with it at all. Why here? Can be terribly frustrating especially when you are trying to post something and you get "dropped" out and its all gone.

It is nothing to do with the forum template or software. It is the web hosting company.

All I can say is sorry Guys n Gals we are aware and are in talks with the host to rectify.

Anyhoo he had to try a couple of hosts before he got the right one ...

Patience, patience. Are you all this impatient about eggs hatching? Yes it's frustrating, but 40 secs! Wow the world could end.

You're right, the world may end. However, I don't think anyone is treating this like a life or death situation but if you want the forum to expand and grow then you need to make it attractive and useful to members and future members. 40 seconds response time for a single click is appalling. I work in IT and that sort of response time would see a piece of software come back quick smart. More like 1 or 2 seconds is acceptable.

You run the risk of losing members if it takes so long to read a post or post a message that the member may try elsewhere.

It's alright Cranberry I do understand as my son would have reacted exactly as you did. He's a full time IT geek too. I just don't find it such a big deal and I know I am in the minority.
