Could do but it had its mind set on Quarrion ... a natural source of food in the wild .

wow how gorgeous I do like Birds of Prey but no definately not anywhere near the Aviary

Yes we have wild Quarrions and Peregrin Falcons on the mine I work in....The Falcons have decided the maintenance shed is the perfect place for I spy :D :D

I love raptors. Always wanted a pet peregine falcon when I was a kid. Mum and Dad wouldn't let me get one though.

not been a raptor person...is this one a Goshawk or Sparrowhawk?

The goshawks up this way seldom give me an open go such as this one gave you Deb

It's an immature Australian (Brown) Goshawk, Collared Sparrowhawks are much smaller, & the eye colour is not nearly as richer yellow.

I suspect it may have been a little off ...The wattle birds were giving it a caning and as much as I chased it away it chose to stay in the yard .

Its the first time Ive seen it in the yard , they usually circle but fly off after a while .There was also a mob of other predators waiting in another tree including Mynahs , Butcher birds and Currawongs .

Very strange indeed. And needless to say the aviary birds were dead silent and doing the "statue" .
