Is anyone else a bit concerned about young in the nest and this cold snap over inland NSW ?

So far all parents are snuggled up in the nest boxes however this happened last year and a lot of people with Princess Parrots lost young . My hen isnt what you would call overly maternal

My little white zeb is very swollen around the vent but wont go into the nest .

And Im watching yo make sure my Red Rump fledglings are staying high and dry with this rain .

Worrying times and here I was thinking breeding season would be cut short by the heat .

i have redbrows and longtails sitting atm, none of which are proven breeders. thankfully the egglaying bit is over but i am concerned that they may leave the nest for too long and the eggs/chicks may get a chill...new parents and all. it's bloody chilly today, been watching my birds chase the sunlight as clouds roll over. much more shadow than sun, unfortunately.

here's wishing everyone (and all their birds) good luck

Yes the weather is very confusing at the moment.Few warm days 21ish and then going down to 12 the next day or 2.I had a pair of Zeb's on the nest the hachlings were 6 days old and doing extremely well and then some really bad weather hit and bam th babies died. :( :(
So I think it may be everywhere in australia.??
