I have a pair of Pictorella finches and they are building a nest, some say they have
a roosting nest and others say they do'nt, can someone help me

Kept them years ago...kept throwing the young out so eventually on sold them but they never built roosting nest...but they did sit in nest with others like spice finches of night time...

Right time of year for Pictorella nesting....mine are building and courting as well....hope they do well for you.

No camping nest for Pictorellas. Any attempt to nest should be a breeding attempt. They love to put small pieces of broken cuttlebone into the nest chamber too.
