I was wondering if anyone knew where to buy cheap-ish Egg and Biscuit food? The only reason is that we are currently buying a kil0 for almost $20 and its my dad's money that we spend it with
OR does anyone know a good quality recipe that they use?

Thanks,

Tegs

Just put boiled egg and arrowroot biscuit through the sieve. Practice will show you the quantities you need.

Doesn't come any cheaper than that! My kids have always found Dad's the cheapest way to get whatever they want.
Sorry, I don't use egg and biscuit so a sensible answer from me is out of the question.

Does this sound ok? Or is it a bit dodgy? I'm just kinda wary of low, LOW prices, because I don't know if its good or not. I saw a 20kg bag for $150, and this is only $50!

12 dozen farm-fresh eggs, hard boiled.
12 factory-fresh milk arrowroot biscuits.
Zuzz in the food processor, including shells, until it looks like this:

This is some I made this arvo.
You may want to make less at a time, so as not to make more than a weeks worth.
It lasts about that long in the fridge.
Only feed out enough for a day at a time so it doesn't go off.
Happy cheap e&b.

Mmm, looks delish. Thanks!

Do you have to add in the Milk biscuits? Or are there any other biscutis without dairy I could add?

Well spotted, MadOzzie.
That should be twelve eggs, not twelve dozen.

Teg, I imagine you could easily substitue a plain dairy-free biscuit.
Put in enough to make it kind of crumbly when it's mixed.

Only thing I would add is to make sure eggshells are well and truely sterilised...heat in oven or nuke them first before adding to the mix...

Egg biscuit the easy way, 1 hard boiled egg to 2 plain biscuits, mash egg in shell place 2 biscuits in bag and use rolling pin to crush nearly to dust, mix with fork. I get two meals for a pair of canaries, simple and small amount which means it won't go off before you use it, or for big amount go by what vettepilot has suggested. If your worried about the egg shells not being fully sterilized, when eggs are boiling place a sift on top so all the egg is fully submerged this will take care of all contaminants, I have had no issues with egg shells being sterilized this way and I've had many young.
