Am I on the right track here ....other half has 7 zebs ..4 boys and 3 girls anyhoo today has seen of the males singles out and harassed till his face is bloodied .
He is now on his own . Am I right is thinking its because of the odd number of pairs ie. one extra male upsetting the dynamics .

He is more than likely the dominant male and very dominant by the sounds of it.

Evened the score real well today

It was time for 6 of them to go to the suspended aviary and 1 to go to another Zeb person for a bit of fresh blood AND I let one go .
Accident and thought it was going to come back anyhoo cage and food and water are still in the same place if he returns .
What on earth possess them ? Do they think the grass is greener outside the cage ? Sheesh silly little bugger.

And then they fly off where ever, forget how to get back, and start squeaking their head off to try and find the others! I once had a kakariki that got out of the aviary, and was running around the backyard. So I held the door open and she just wandered right back in!
They don't realise how scary the big wide world is once they are out in it!
