Saw Simba"s post and thought I might add a few photos for the Gouldian fans who have to sit and wait for them to get " All Pretty " again. :)

Thinking about it, quite a few could be Fugly. Wish they would hurry up, Im getting fed up of sweeping up baby feathers. Coming out of the aviary if the wind catches them I end up with feathers all over the garden.

Wow, gouldians can definetly get quite patchy can't they?

Do zebra finches moult like that? I've never really noticed mine that 'bad'

Teg, the adult moult makes them look patchy bit generally not real bad. The juvenile into adult moult is the ugliest as they have to change colour completely, something that never happens with zebs (or most other finches for that matter). Many of the other finches you'd never even know they were moulting as it's not really visible.
