good book

:thumbup: Ok in the mail today was my new book on hand rearing baby birds called .....Hand feeding and Raising Baby Birds by Matthew M. Vriends Ph.D.

OK totally not what I was expecting BETTER It covers all aspects of breeding both aviary and incubator from woe to go .
Lots of references to Finches including Black Throats , Zebs and Plumheads plus more . Lots of pics of finches and parrots in different stages of development , diagrams of the anatomy , aviary design , nest boxes EXCITED this book has everything for anyone breeding birds .

Anyhoo just wanted to share . Ermmmm price maybe $23 plus postage (lost the invoice already ).

Matthew Vriends and his daughter released a book about estrildid finches as well.
Very informative book, more suited to European conditions though (IMO)

Yes your opinion is pretty much spot on Mickp.
The more I read the more I think this man really knows his birds .
