I put some horse hair in the aviary and before I could leave most of my birds were down grabbing their share!! it was a bout a double hand sized hairball!!!

what does horses hair do would zebs liek it ?

They love it for their nests!!!

Yeah! They use it as hair extentions or when they see a camera as camouflage

WARNING, horse hair OK, tail or mane hair is as good as putting snares around the avairy, lost young and adults years ago as a result of trying to be kind to our birds. Only use the short coat hair, it doesnt matter if it is from dogs, cats or horses, so long as it is short.

thanks for that answer was going to ask if dog hair was as good (looks like being a dog groomer may have some uses)

Thanks Trilobite! It was only the short coat hair! I did realize the risks with the longer hair!!
