photos of my redbrows on first day fledging

very excited to finally see my redbrow chicks today! four youngsters, two strong, big birds and two a little undercooked. i took the chance and popped the two small ones back in the nest, where they stayed and where the adults are feeding them. such cool little birds! parents are looking a lot more relaxed, actually sitting and preening each other in the sun - i think they're pretty chuffed.

the doublebars have gone mental, as i've always found, twittering and following the babies as they take their flights. they're like worried aunts!

enjoy the pics.
