Superb parrots in the trees next door

I woke up this morning to the sounds of blackbirds, then after sunrise out came the silver eyes, wrens and in the wattle tree next door Superb parrots. What a sight the green is truly iridescent in the sun, something the aviary bred birds don't really show. Superb's are found in this area and seen flying past at high speed. The wattle seed pods found in peoples gardens attracted them down quite close to the ground, less than 2 metres. Surprisingly their bright colours blend into the trees perfectly. No photo ops due to the dogs next door bark if I look over the fence.

Suburbs have been moving in around the Orange area over the last few years. As far as I know they haven't inhabited this area before (a few have been sited around the area but not in town).
Very beautiful (and quite large) bird especially in the wild like you say.
