Got mine first pr of Diamond Firetail today well i hope i got a pr

Congratulations. They are my favourite finch. I used to have a colony in an aviary but far too many males, and I never managed to breed them.

I love watching them dance and perform.

I remember going to Featherdale Wildlife Park once and seeing about 8 young birds flying around just out of the nest. I tracked down the guy that was looking after them and he said that he did nothing special, just had seeding grass in their aviary and left them alone.

Great finch to have. Give them plenty of nesting materials as they like to buil huge nests.
