Lol at the heading. As long as if they don't hybridnize. (think that's spelt right?)

hybridise. And that's what I'm wondering about. Should I be worried? should I remove any eggs in cordon nests? should I get rid of the saint??

I wouldn't over react to this. This isn't a common hybrid so hopefully nothing will come of it. If the worst happens give the young to one of the show guys, they would be quite happy.

Without casting any aspersions on the young lady (I understand she is a SAINT) ; are you sure she didn't lead him on a little. Cordons arn't the best known rapists, parrot finches are much worst.

I take it that the Saint is a single non paired bird? If this is the case you are better off removing it. Odd birds in a breeding aviary are never a good idea.

Hi weaver.
No the only unpaired bird I have in there is a hen tri coloured PF. The saints are all paired, ad are the cordons...
The hen was a cordon, cock was a saint too.
I sure hope nothing comes of it... Found a nice little nest woven among the wattle brush today!!! Hoping it might be the cordons as they've been hanging around there.

I thought after reading the heading you were going to be talking about canola seed.Shame you cant separate them.Oh well in your case it maybe a wait and see approach and keep an eye on them.Very odd thing to see.

I wouldn't worry about it at all.
In the unlikely situation it did happen then cross that bridge when you come to it.
I couldn't count the number of times I have seen birds in my aviary getting super friendly with different species and I have never
had a hybrid turn up.
All will sort themselves out. Have you put any swamp grass in as yet. This will get all the Saints busy nesting
