Thanks for the encouragement.
The first 3 are almost cooked...

The 2nd Siskin nest just hatched 1 and it seems to be growing well - hard to get a pic of this nest.

And while I had the camera out I noticed some painteds nearly done - I counted 5!

Beautiful work, Sam.
Nice paints, too. Are they red or yellow?

Thanks matty. The painteds are reds - want some?

Likely I would like a pair red paints, but am still working out which species to lose and which to retain in the forthcoming reshuffle.
I'm trying to get on a couple of longer-term plans (eg: some diamonds before the more challenging Stagonopleura species, some St. Helena's for a while before Pin-tail Whydahs), which requires me to lose some other species to avoid overcrowding.

I think I might lose all mutants, too, so maybe you might want to swap some of my mutant paints for your red ones.

I'm still very fond of my yellow stars, but I think even they will go....

I've got young diamonds, but all related - I've just responded to wildbill's diamond hen's wanted add, so might be able to do a swap with him.

All three siskins fledged yesterday and look to be fine. The other single one is still at the pin cushion stage. I'll try to get some pics over the weekend.

Great result, Sam.
I guess you've disproved the superstition that mentioning nestlings online before they've fledged curses them to an early demise.....

Well done.

Until now I was unaware of that particular superstition - hope it doesn't decide to kick in now!
