Hi all just thought i,d share my experiances with green singers .The first time they fledged young after one week the cock bird hounded two chicks to death the third chick was left alone ,turned out to be a hen.Can only surmise that the two he killed were cocks .The next round i attached a cage to flight wall and put the young in it approx one week after fledging the hen carried on and layed again and the cock happily feed young threw the bars of the cage,have done this ever since and never lost another chick .I do find over here in england there nesting seasons seem to be very irregular some years they start in may then the following year it will be as late as october.Love to here about any of your experiances breeding them
