Will they mix well with the finches that I already have and how easy arethey to breed?.

They mix very well...tend to keep to themselves....I found them the same as Stars to breed..some prolific some not....

Well I have managed to breed star finches so I will buy some plum heads and give them a go. Hopefully if I get a good pair they will breed.

Mine either breed like stink or just sit there. Seems to happen to most people. Some years there's heaps around and they're hard to get rid of and other years there's none.

I have bred star finches so do you think I would be able to breed plumheads considering that they are closely related and that there behaviore is very similer?

one of my favourites, but they will not tolrate nest inspectons, you have to leave them alone, try nad get a young pair so they bond together.

Ok,
I will get a pair of plumheads when I go to the petshop next. I dont nest inspect if that species of finch will not tollerate it.
