Having Trouble Finding Wild-Type Budgies?

Well I can't answer the question - at least in a legal sense but I was impressed with the images shown on the ABC site today of Budgies on the Nullabour.

That first photo shows that the vast majority are young ones, still having the stripes on the forehead. Good breeding season. :thumbup:

Im sure I saw an ad on the local Gumtree for Bush Budgies, will check and see if I can find it.

i have forever flirted with the idea of wild type budgies.and at some stage will likely give them a go. i just think they are a wonderful little bird.

for those in victoria melbourne zoo has a beautiful landscaped dry riverbed aviary on the australian bush walk for bush budgies and (from memory) diamond sparrows.
