Hi guys,
As most of you know, I'm new to mutations, so would like to know a bit more about Dominant Silver zebs- I've been asked if I'm interested in buying some @ $30 per pair. Is this reasonable? Overpriced? Underpriced?
Before I get asked, no I will not be keeping these with my pure normals!
Cheers

Only you can make that choice if the price is fair. For that price they would want to be a large bird the right colour as in body colour and the right colour cheek patches. People are funny in not wanting to pay alot for Zebras. To me the mutations are no different to any other species mutation. The price fits the bird i guess on availability and colour. I can sell my Aluminas Interstate but not one in Victoria. I think we are behind in Mutations in Victoria.
Can you get any photos of these birds? Silvers come far and few between. Maybe they are poorly coloured Silvers and you would have to class them as Dilute Blues?

The guy said they have white cheeks- I believe Dilute Blues have more of a fawny sort of coloured cheek patch? I'll have to ask him for some pics.

Just checked my e-mail and he has sent a photo. The cheek patch does look more of a biscuit colour rather than white, so perhaps it is a Dilute Blue?

I don;t know what type it is, but I think it is a very nice colour mutation either way.

I think so too- I'm having a look this evening, so will let you know what I decide- I'm leaning towards buying two cocks, since I think they're quite handsome.

If you are intending on Showing Zebs don't buy it , if you want to put in a aviary and enjoy go for it.
