Monolepta beetles as softbill tucker?

Are they ok to feed to wrens, chats, etc. ? Anyone tried? There's an abundance of them here at the moment & at this time every year which may be a useful resource if safe to feed.

I would think anything that goes to the trouble of making itself bright yellow with red spots probably tastes pretty ordinary or is toxic - look at Mcdonalds - bright red and yellow

Just had my question answered by the family of Superb Wrens just outside my window - catching them one after another & feeding to their two fledglings.

I know they love pumpkins and squash type plants . Made a mess of mine last year little buggers :x . But never had the wrens around hear have a go at them .
Work smarter not harder !
