Are we talking about the same Wrens? Yes there is plenty on Malurus leucopterus leuconotus much less on Malurus leucopterus leucopterus and almost nothing on Malurus leucopterus edouardi. I was able to find only two photos of Malurus leucopterus edouardi and none of a female or young birds.
Most articles are about the birds in general like this one http://www.publish.csiro.au/?paper=MU00021" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
or this http://www.publish.csiro.au/?paper=MU03011" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
and even this http://rspb.royalsocietypublishing.org/ ... 1663.short" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
They've been studying the species or so they say but where are the photos of the birds?

And here is something interesting http://www.publish.csiro.au/?paper=ZO02019" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; they talk about the Western and Eastern population again no photos. We know there are two varieties of blue White-winged Wrens, one with white back the others all blue like mine, is this what he means by Eastern and Western population, I don't think we will ever know this.

The first and the fourth articles refer to Barrow Island!
