I like parrots but finches have always been better breeders for me.only keep now a pair of elegants,2 pair of bourke and pair of turqs.Plus finches are number 1 overall in my books followed by doves then parrots and quails but keep most things to as its a finch forum. But think its great idea with sub forums for certain species in other species

I'd love to see a section on doves, find it very hard to find anything about them and just recently got some diamond doves and thinking of getting another species for the other aviary but not sure what yet. I'll also join in on the hookbills too, I've got cockatiels, budgies and turqs in that aviary and more as pets.

Finches is what holds this forum together. Most of us are here because we have some finches as well as other stuff, that isn't the same for many parrot breeders who have only parrots. Adding extra sections could be the how big is a piece of string question as to where you stop adding. I reckon keep it as it is, those with others can ask questions as required, those without finches can go elsewhere or start there own. Other wise it winds up like a car club or a 4WD club where the brand or the event type is the common element at first but then a different / new element becomes bigger and the original purpose disappears and the club falls apart because too many people leave. Seen it happen lots in car clubs over the years.

Harvey please take this to the 'Other species' area, a nice idea but do it in the right place.HARVEY123456789 wrote:ANY CHANCE OF A COMPLETE LIST OF PARROTS YOU KEEP?

The owners are discussing the merits having the other species area altered.
