Water feeders

Hello again

just wanted to get some tips on the best water feeders to use. I use two types with my Gouldians i have an open style one that hangs off the side of the cage for drinking and bathing and a cylinder style that clips to the outside of the cage. the only problem that i find with both of them is that they are not really large enough. just through id ask if there was a better system that i could be using.

I generally check out the local cheap shops, they usually have low price, all sizes, ceramic pots and dishes etc etc. There is usually one that will fit the situation I need it for. Cheap as Chips stocks cat trays for $2, they cover a multitude of uses.
Also try the local second hand shop for kitchen items some casserole dishes or lasagne dishes are great if you need a bigger shallower dish.

I use glazed terracotta dishes in my aviaries for the water, it all depends on your set up and what you want to do with it, the glazed dishes stay cleaner longer over normal terracota dishes, But if your using them in a breeding cabinet set up , the coup cup , the D shaped ones are good as long as they will fit through the door. I always had more dishes and cups tha I had cages so i could give them a good scrub every now and then...Pete

I use some pyrex bowls & some SS ones. Both easy to clean.

I use the same as Pete in the aviaries and in the cabinets i use water botle and a
litle dishes for them to bath.
