cut throats

Thanks for the tips Greg, they are actually housed indoors with my other finches in seperate cages 60cm across by 50 wide by 75 high, I am about to move them to new room where all 3 cages will sit on shelf. I am currently geting a nest box ready for the cut throats as the male is a bit of a bully and has been pecking the hen around beak so it might give him something to do and they will have a nest to sleep in, the zebs already have one and sleep in it and the bangelese will also get cane nest. Below are some photos of my setup in two rooms enough for five cages of the size i use, cheers Bob.

Thanks for the comments everyone. The cut throats were in the nest five mins after i put it in, I have put coconut fibre in there and some on the floor and he is constructing away, I will get bag of feathers today so he might stop pecking her. I also got suprise this am when checked birds my Zebs have one egg and I am thrilled, cheers Bob. 8-)

Thanks everyone, the cut throat male is still pecking at the hen a bit, and my zebs now have 3 eggs, also found a pair of Emblemas to pick up on weekend, now the hunt is on for a cage for them and this is becoming addictive, I think i might need help lol, cheers Bob. 8-)

You have caught the bug Bob and there is no cure, the only thing you can do to ease the pain is to get more :lol:
