male zebra finch question???

just wondering do they ever lose there interest in building a nest or breeding?

Mine never have. As soon as they find anything they can pick up they will try and make a nest with it in one of the food cups, they have also filled a food cup I left in there with rocks and tried to use it as a nest.

oh leigh that is so funny when they do that but the reason i am asking is because i have had the same nest for about a year and a half and its pretty beat up lol and they seem to lose interest in it they mainly use it to sleeep so i was wondering would it be better to get a new one because i was thinking about getting a nestbox>>>>>>>> (:
