The colour comes from the nectar they are fed. I think it may be a wombaroo product. These 2 are wild cock birds at the poo ponds a few ks from home and you can pick the difference (just).Slightly more Orange than yellow but i think the bloke that sold them to you has the answers as ive seen pics of few very nicely coloured cocks in his collection.Richly coloured wild cocks literally glow and there is a fair amount of Orange rather than yellow.
