As mentioned earlier these are the photos I took of the female Hawfinch that I had in my collection well over 30 years ago. It's showing a little wear and tear and I doubt if it will breed seeing its getting close to 40 years old.

Maybe a bit of preening and she may attract a cock bird easier.

i think they have evolvedto eat Hazzle Nuts etc
By the way you'd be glassy eyed locked away as long she has.
She is probaly older than 1/3 of our Forum members but still better looking I guess
