Shame you're not here to groom him!! I just adopted him about 2 months ago, and I'm trying to find a good groomer that isn't hideously expensive! Yeah, even my vet commented on what a nice dog Snoop is, as often poorly-bred Cockers can be aggressive, or snap when frightened. Snoop's a big sook, and quite happily goes to the vet (I think it's because he gets treats and cuddles), even after they cut his knackers off!!BluJay wrote: Niki K, cute dogs. Like shepherds also, cockers were a nightmare at one time, their temperament was aggressive. This was largely, due to the gain of popularity after world war II, and people breed for qaunitity, instead of qaulity, but their dispositions have improved over the years. They also were fun to groom.
Lots of guidelines are precipitated by health departments and the CDC, as dogs bites and/or attacks have to be reported. Then you have the ambulance chaser, attorneys, looking to represent persons with injuries, some specializing in dog bites!
