Long Tail was one of the suggestions but daresay without a DNA check will never know for sure. It has a short Zebra type tail and is a 'neat' attractive bird that adds interest to the aviary. It is obviously infertile so have let it have its fun with a with a female Fawn Zebra that it has chummed up with.Tintola wrote:I think you are on the money Jay.Jayburd wrote:It's t all longtail, bib is tiny and no flank stripe. Longtail X zebra perhaps?
Re adding other birds I am looking at adding something as soon as I cull some of the Double Bars and commission the new aviary. Would like a challenge or project like something that needs numbers increased. Have been gathering info on the Aberdeen or Red Crested finch which I have never seen at sales etc but come across in Forum topics. They sound interesting.
