Anyone here ever bred a half-sider?

It seems to me that if the bird is half of each sex breeding would be unlikely. (Too confused to know if it should chat up Brad or Angie) :soppy: However if it is all one sex just different colours there would not be any problem. It does not have a mirror.

Interesting how the beak is all dark red like a cock's.
Would love to see what's happening inside with the gonads- perhaps an ovary on the left and a testis on the right?

Does anyone know where the hanging feeders, as shown in the half-sider cardinal pic, can be purchased

I wouldn't use them as a permanent feeder, but they look like a good backup for a weekend away situation

I bought mine at the BigW, I think I paid $40. National Geographic Shops I think had them, sometimes even the "$2 Shops" have then. Here in Sydney most times you can find them up at the Flemington Markets.

There are two members here that have had half sider gouldians that I am aware of.The half side was on the head only though.
