HELP !! Cant catch current Rat !

( Trilobite ) I will try that Trapper Mix Recipe and see if we have any luck. As for the sticky traps - they are the most effective method by far for catching mice, but unfortunately they are not strong enough to catch and hold a rat. We have had evidence of dark fur patches left on the glue the next day - and one of my dogs came thumping in at 6am one morning like the devil was behind her - with a sticky trap stuck to her foot that a rat must have dragged out into the fernery !!
( Finches 247 ) - Had also thought of pinging them off with some lead infusion; target practice is my favourite - but i dont think my neighbours would appreciate it much ! If i lean over the fence, i can touch their side wall - thats how close they are.
( Kenny66 ) Yes, Jack Russells are the best !! ( No bias here, we only breed , hunt and show them ..... ) and my littlest one was the one that got the rat in the picture of my other rat thread - but this current bugger is evading us and the dogs which is why we are so frustrated ! Last week they chased it in the fernery up a mini palm and my hubby cracked it with a tennis raquet and sent him flying - but then he disappeared and has been taunting us ever since.
