Hello All,
On Monday night, I decided after bonsai school, I would spend some time looking at the forum, when I got home,,,,,Alas, I do enjoy a good scotch & a touch of ice, and I guess you all know what happened...the glass slipped from my hand & stuffed up my laptop, it's now at the experts; and I'm trying to post on my blackberry notebook.....it's not easy! Hopefully the laptop will be back sometime next week, with an estimated bill of $250 plus...to paraphrase my mother, "It was an expensive scotch!"

So don't let this happen to you!

Cheers,
Ripley

True,
I screwed up big time.......the biggest problem I have is that I have to do an assignment due next Wednesday...I had to explain to my lecturer that my computer went screwy, because a extra large J&B scotch whiskey...with a touch of ice....put my laptop over the limit...it worked happily for five minutes or so, then phantom letters/numbers/signs appeared after ten minutes or so, than nothing after twenty minutes....
It was drunk!
It's a bugger...
Cheers,
Ripley

Sounds like it's probably just the keyboard which is stuffed. It's usually really easy to swap it out for a new one - generally pretty cheap too (try eBay but make sure it's a genuine one).

I did have to refill my glass, to replace what I lost....and then another to get over the shock/disappointment of losing the use of my laptop for a week or so...

I'm actually having another scotch now, but it's no where near my tablet. I've learnt from my mistake....

Cheers,
Ripley

The pharmacists of the forum should have emphasised the dangers of alcohol and tablets :?
