Yes like most things with Nursing homes especially recently, the Quality Care and adherance programs they have to adhere to have added so much extra pressure and work that alot of good/great employees are just leaving, and sometimes actual care is taking a back seat to handling mounting paperwork and standards.
Think your right maybe better to do like my son used to when he went and played board games with the residents and just visit occasionally, maybe offer pet days or something (thats when and if MY work load eases) oh well the best laid plans of mice and men
