Those are not redbrows nor are they saint helenas. They are black rumped waxbills which are fairly common in africa, i saw them in uganda and malawi.

I saw no dead or stressed birds , they all looked healthy , perhaps this was just a shipment and a short time in cramped quarters . Its certainly not what we are used to seeing .

I don't think its an orange mutation , i think it is a very sick bird with dietary related problems .
Now ..those videos of the Ecky are cruel . the cage is putrid ...

Cant watch too many of the vids ..too sad .
