Canary seed and hulled sunflower kernels added to there normal seed, high oil content and gives them good fat cover.

The same add alot more oil seeds for some fats and on odd occasions I'll add some cod liver oil to the seed as well as the good old hard boiled egg given once a week for fatty protein. Still considering about giving out some meal worms on a regular basis.

With the canaries, give them some hulled oats and add canola seed (oil) to the plain canary(staple diet) 1:3. They also get their usual tonic seed and I start to provide egg food once a week by mid July.

Continue with green food - Pak Choy, which is home grown throughtout the year. I have just obtained some seeds for Black Kale which is supposed to grow well through winter frosts and have just planted some to see how that goes.

Vitamins in water every 4th week.
