Hello All,

While Sam Davis & myself, were down in Melbourne on the weekend for the conference; on Monday we went & had a look at a couple of bird dealers in melbourne and Surrounds....
In one of the stores, we came across live insects being raised by Mini Beasts Enterprises....I was really impressed in their containers (buckets) they sell the insects in....

I just tried to do a web search & use the email address that I copied down from the label, to no luck...

Does anyone know, or use their crickets/mealworms etc? What are your thoughts & if they are any good & finally, how do I get in contact with them?

On Monday, at one dealer, we encountered an entirely different sort of beast who seemed strangely attracted to us (but not us to it). Sorry, ignore that, back to the question...

It seems their website is down. Their details also appear in the yellow pages as follows:

Yes Sam,they are 15minutes out of Geelong. The last lot of mealworms i got was $40 a kilo,picked up.
He supplies the Australian Reptile Park and a few others as well with all sorts of creepy crawlies. Craig

They are just getting up to speed with their mealworms again with having extra orders from clients not being able to source elsewhere. They have a good product but maynot be able to supply to many more big users of meal worms.crickets are plentiful in supply.

I use to buy Pisces crickets for my frogs, then discovered Minibeasts when the original owner started. Then it was sold & I still buy my weekly supply of crickets.
In my opinion, they are the best on the market.

After visiting the dealer that Sam was talking about...I couldn't get a song out of my mind..."Afternoon Delight"....I could see the skyrockets in flight!

Back to the thread, how good are they a shipping or delivering their product? In your opinion, would they happily ship to Sydney?

Ripley,you need to speak to them directly for that sort of info as us locals pick up our own livefood when needed from them. Craig

I really enjoyed your tour of your birds....even though Sam & I got lost...it was worth the trip..
