I am staying in the Terrigal area this week to help recuperate from a recent operation and would love to visit other AFF members or their friends aviaries. This is my type of retail therapy, just dont tell my wife.

Trouble is with that kind of retail therapy you cant say "Oh this old thing, had it in the wardrobe for ages!"

Dianne...you can if your wife doesn't know one end of a finch from another...and never goes near your birds....lucky me

Dianne - Shock, horror, you are not suggesting to lie to my wife about buying birds. I dont think so, she would kill me.

Mine would come with me and then claim all the "good" birds were hers .

Lucky for me my wife does not go any where near the aviaries due to allergies and Vic prefers hand raised parrots over finches.

Unfortunately I am not allowed to drive a car for a while, so she has to do all the driving and is not keen on aviary tours.

So, unless I can make other arrangements,out of sight out of mind type of thing, its makes it awkward to buy birds etc.
